>>5404255After extreme starvation in the Ripple Tracker population, natural selection has caused them to zero-in on thicker, sturdier skin and by sheer luck, with many other species slowing the Latcher’s progression toward increased penetration, the Ripple Trackers were able to beat them to the pincer-swipe. Now, it’s uncommon for a Ripple Tracker to have more than two or three Latchers at once and their population has remained static. The introduction of a rival that shares their critical adaptations poses a significant danger and with the Ripple Trackers contributing to slightly more of the Lump Grazer’s consumption, their primary food source is a little less guaranteed.
