Rolled 4, 12, 15 = 31 (3d20)
>>5512325A million priorities cry out to you. You grapple with them, one by one.
You could arrange for a message to be sent home… But then, that would be a beacon to the meddling of the Serpent Priesthood, who you already suspect—no, KNOW—will seize command from you as one wrests a valuable treasure from the hands of an impetuous hatchling. Surely, that’s who even those unaware of your tainted origins will see you—barely two decades old, yet making decisions which will affect conspiracies older than any living Reptilian. Well, damn them all—you are CHOSEN OF THE GODS, a KNIGHT ASCENDANT. You may not be a ‘true’ Dragonborn, but you ARE a true ANTIPALADIN, and that is what counts!
That said, and in site of the reckless bravado which some heretics might attribute to your patron God… It WOULD be foolish to go into this expedition unprepared. Should you armour up? Train more in preparation? No, no… Time is of the greatest essence. You have the armour you need—upon your breast in chitin and leather, within your scaley skin, beneath your flesh and in your very soul. Your very <Radiant Aura> is as a shield of faith. Your Hexblade swordsmanship is, if not QUITE as technically adept as that of Azonia the Duelist, more than enough to make short work of your lesser adversary… And your shoggoth-sword is strong, strengthen by its demon-feasting.
Some delays cannot be avoided, though. Divination is your best bet to find the hidden secrets of the Bloodrise underdark before that accursed Necromancer. Though the proper preparation of such a ritual takes some time, it is time that would otherwise be squandered in fruitless searching. The spell of <Guidance>, while not a guaranteed success, is well worth the attempt.
