TalOS exited the room with the grin slowly ebbing away from him. The Primarch looked both ways before entering the hallway in case some neglected Servitor or Skull was making their way through the way. He found none though and began walking.
The conquest of the Grail system had been a victory, short of the lives lost one can say a complete victory. There have been some human words discovered to have been under the enslavement of the Orks. These were a minority though as the Orks were wiped out.
With numerous systems of Orks wiped and resources available the colonization of these planets is a given. Numerous Priests from the Reconquista had already devoted themselves to the task and swore themselves to be a part of the Federation. Many of them came with small cohorts of humans however, thus manpower was being drained from planets like Helmnut.
The last time TalOS had examined the Hive Cities their populations had drastically dropped from before Lucius found them. Large swaths of the cities were reportedly drained of manpower as with the arrival of the Reconquista the only reason the planet was not tapped was removed. In the greater scheme of this, this was for the best as leaving so many people there would only be a waste of manpower.
As TalOS thought this he had made his way to the upper parts of the Blackstone Fortress. The number of Tech Priests and Servitors decreased drastically as he approached the Choirs.
The place itself can be said to be the most normal feeling of the Blackstone Fortress, simply by purview of being the one with the most Candles. In the end though the Choir was still heavily hampered by the presence of the Fortress, thus the need for hundreds of psykers was necessary for the main fleet to receive them. And since hundreds of psykers was hard to defend in a standard corvette or destroyer, they were all forced upon the Blackstone Fortress.
TalOS did not get too far into the sanctuary as the sound of a Servo Skull buzzing came into his ears, the Primarch turned to see the Astropath Transcendent walking towards him. As TalOS previously understood these blind men would have normally used their psychic abilities to see, but being upon the Blackstone Fortress has robbed them of such an ability.
“My Lord.” The old man said as he spoke in TalOS’s general direction, “Thank you for responding to my summons.”
