>>5672294>“Nero! Ava! Spread out and cover the flanks! Diana! Shelley! Triangle Attack Formation!”Shaking the attack off to the best of your abilities, you and your comrades swoop in to eliminate the two Demonic Beasts before the others can join them. Flying in the sky alongside Diana and Shelley serves to greatly increase your killing potential. The Triangle Attack is the tried-and-true technique of veteran pegasus knights for good reason. You nearly cut the first Demonic Beast in half with your counterattack, your Blessed Lance burning hot as it swings through its spine in one fell swoop. Before the second can even react, the three of you are on it. Diana and Shelley each land an attack on its eyes, causing it to screech in pain before another swing of your enchanted lance finishes the beast off for good.
>20xp gained! (90/100)The three Demonic Beasts that remain overtake Phaedo and spread out in a formation that is, eerily enough, not too dissimilar from your own. With the Agarthan alone, it seems as if you and the others can simply fly over these creatures, close the distance between yourselves and your target, and eliminate him. You’re confident that a single Triangle Attack would be enough to end his miserable life. Before you can enact this plan though, something catches you by surprise. The Agarthan slows his approach towards you and raises that hand of his that had been previously glowing. A familiar barrage of cutting gales is sent your way, and you and the others are only barely lucky enough to dodge the attack by the skin of your teeth. Your forward advance has been halted.
“Eeek! That was bad! Really bad!” Diana whines.
“Blair! He can use Aircalibur! He can tear us to shreds if he hits us even once!” Shelley shouts.
No, that wasn’t Aircalibur. If it was, it was a far more powerful version of it than you could summon. It had the potential to hit all of you rather than just one target. Your mind briefly wanders to the grisly memory of that Imperial Captain you tore apart earlier. Shelley was right. A single hit from that Aircalibur would eradicate anyone it hit were they still in the air. Your only options seemed to be to either land on the ground and deal with those Demonic Beasts on foot, or to risk it attempt to flyover them while dodging Phaedo’s magic.
>A): Dismount and take the battle to the ground. >B): Fly over those Demonic Beasts and attack Phaedo directly. (SPD/LCK Roll: 1-70 x5 to succeed)>For the purposes of this roll, Diana and Shelley will use your stats. Each of them will have to roll successfully to avoid being hit.
