You focused the majority of your attacks on the prone Yoshimitsu, preventing him from getting back up and using his sword. You tuned out the cow’s pained grunts and muffled screams to the best of your ability, relentlessly pummeling the cyborg samurai with her as if you were an overly aggressive kid in a pillow fight. Thankfully, your weapon was a light construct, so she had no bones to break or any blood to bleed. So when she’d expended her usefulness, her body flashed brightly, before fizzling out of existence.
Yoshimitsu groaned miserably as you stood over him.
“You’ve heard of someone beating a dead horse, but what about someone using a dead horse to beat you?” you said, your breaths coming out a bit ragged.
“I thought it was a cow!” Cat shouted from her place outside the ring.
“Eh. Same difference.” you replied.
You would’ve said more, but your attention was soon diverted by your spider-sense warning you of Giovanna’s incoming attack. When you turned to face her, you immediately noticed that something was different.
Her hair was glowing a brighter shade of red, her skin was now of a similar hue to that of her spirit wolf, and the symbol that had once been on its forehead was now on hers. The possessed woman glared at you through blank eyes, her movements looking sharper and deadlier somehow.
But when she threw her first kick, you reacted in a way she didn’t expect. You rushed in, getting right up in her face and grabbed her outstretched leg. Your sticky fingers made it next to impossible for her to pull away, and her fighting style didn’t seem to include many punches, so you were confident that you’d caught her on the backfoot, quite literally.
Without thinking, you threw her leg back down to the ground, webbing it in place and forcing her to crouch down in an uncomfortable position to account for the overstretched limb. And as soon as she did, you aimed a rising knee straight at her nose. Her head shot back, but she stayed firmly rooted in place.
You stomped down on her exposed knee, and used your other leg to launch a flaming kick directly at her forehead. But what really did her in was the fireball that Ryu had launched. It had been intended for you, but you were generous enough to let Giovanna eat the hit for you. Her model derezzed a moment later, leaving a glob of webbing where her foot had been.
Behind you, Yoshimitsu loudly hopped to his feet. Between the clattering of his armor and his constant screaming, he wasn't very likely to sneak up on anyone.
He lunged, and you just barely managed to sidestep his sword-strike in time to web his hands to his legs before he could recover. Immediately afterwards, you leapt onto him, continuing your beatdown from earlier.
