>>5348749"Let's do this, Schierke! You were meant to do this by yourself anyway." Ivalera pumps her small fists onto the air as the little witch closed her eyes.
"Time to see if my training paid off..." Farnese's legs trembles as she chants in a different language from the meditating Schierke, manipulating and getting inside the mind of the strongest trolls, hijacking their bodies to start several infights against the troll groups, making them whack and and squash their own limbs as the switched from target to target. Already finishing the warding runes to protect the church, all she had to wait for was for the spirit Schierke would summon forth to dissuade the endless troll horde from destroying Enoch.
Before she could turn Schierke invisible, the priest commanding the church decided to interrupt their rituals.
"Cease your witchcraft immediately! I will not permit such blasphemy in the house of our lord!" The blindly religious owner of the temple shouted on the rooftops that looked down over the entire village, with Farnese quickly moving over Schierke to shield her from losing her focus.
"Can't you see we are attempting to save this village? Her magic is crucial in securing Enoch!"
"Schierke is stuck in a trance while she is chanting! If she is forcefully sent back to her body, her soul could be lost in the null spaces of the astral!" Ivalera speaks, before being swatted down by the zealot.
"Why are you doing this!? You can even see Ivalera! The people from this town can see our magic because of the temple being built over the spirit realms! Everyone is conforming and pleading to be saved, stop interfering!"
"Silence! This is a test from God himself! This village should entrust all to the fate he has assigned to us! What good would it be to live to the end of my days, because I relied on wicked interventions from you fiends!"
Despite facing what could be summed up as the personification of her past beliefs, she still lacked the tact, the verbal arguments, and the patience to shut down arguments like her boyfriend did to her, instead letting the insults and the pressure get to her as she drew the silver knife towards the priest!
"Insult the ways that have saved my life, and I will stab you to death!" Farnese shouts, impeding the priest to take another step.
"Resorting to violence?! Like I've said before, I am not afraid to die, if it means it was according to God's plan, now let me through!"
The priest and Farnese fight for who remains holding the knife, slowly inching to the edge of the roof as Farnese's behind keeps brushing against Schierke's. She attempts to hold her ground, but it seems that it will only be a matter of time until the three of them fall to their deaths.
