[b:lit]WARNING[/b:lit]: NIPTON
A small group of immigrants have moved into the ruins of Nipton and began to rebuild the large abandoned farm and ranch just south of the town. Their population is roughly 75 and they consist of former NCR citizens. These are not enclave immigrants, but regular settlers. The town is isolated without much in the way of commerce.
[b:lit]WARNING[/b:lit]: ENCLAVE IMMIGRANTS
The first groups of Enclave refugees have arrived and have been sent to Novac and Nelson. They will begin ingratiating themselves with the locals and await further orders. Their military forces are still in the process of heading over.
[b:lit]WARNING[/b:lit]: CHOLERA OUTBREAK
Novac and Freeside are both suffering from the early stages of a Cholera outbreak, cause unknown but presumed to result from a rapid influx of population and poor water distribution/sanitation. Novac is contained but not eliminated while Freeside is still in danger of turning into an epidemic.
[b:lit]WARNING[/b:lit]: STRETCHED FORCES
There are now four infantry companies available for deployment and Kreger is urging you to deploy them to protect supply lines, remote settlements and provide extra security in Freeside to alleviate pressure on the Securitrons.
[b:lit]WARNING[/b:lit]: ZION
Zion’s infestation seems to be eliminated, but the region still has isolated cases and could turn into another crisis if not fully cleared. The Brotherhood has ended their checkpoints and pulled their forces back to Hidden Valley.
[b:lit]WARNING[/b:lit]: INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATION
Finally, the first anniversary of your independence is at hand. The many celebrations still need funding and you need to figure out where you want to spend that evening, as well as any other personal touches you want to add.
[b:lit]WARNING[/b:lit]: VERTIBIRD
You are still waiting to hear the status of incoming enclave military forces, but your sole vertibird is down due to a maintenance issue Daisy seems unable to figure out. It will be inoperable until fixed.
[b:lit]WARNING[/b:lit]: CRIME
There has been a small uptick in crime across the entirety of the region due to the reinvestment and increased migration from the NCR and elsewhere. Especially in urban areas, punishments range from corporal punishment, indentured servitude, banishment and often, death. This becomes an issue when NCR tourists are the subject of punishment. Members of the council are pushing for not only a comprehensive legal system but also for jails and prisons for worse offenders.
