Or the fact multiple precise cuts of meat have been harvested from the corpses. You put on your NIGHTVISION GOOGLES so you can get a better look of your surroundings. The only things of note here (sans the corpses) is the bridge of the ship. It's a small blocky hut that's level with the deck of the ship. Seeing no where else to investigate, you head over to it and open the door, gesturing at your allies to follow.
The bridge is pretty small and cluttered. Shelves and desks have been slammed together in a bizarre order you can't quite make heads or tails of. Rusted over communication and navigation panels are placed in between the randomly slapped together shelves and desks. It's a shock they managed to pilot this thing at all.
The only other thing of note on the bridge is a small hatch that seems to lead down into the lower sections of the ship. "Benedict, Lex? Check down there for any spare lifeboats or equipment." You point at the hatch with your antlers. "I'll check up here."
Lex flashes a thumbs up before pulling out a flashlight of his. He opens up the hatch with ease and heads down the rope ladder underneath said hatch. Benedict promptly follows after him. Once the two are gone, you start searching through the shelves and desks, trying to see what sort of documents you can find in this weirdly laid out bridge room. Seriously, why IS THERE A SHELF ON THE CEILING?!
[ANOMALOUS ABILITIES] It's actually shockingly quick for you. Every time you pass by specific desks or shelves, you would hear a small voiceless whisper in your ear.
[ANOMALOUS ABILITIES] It doesn't take long to notice a pattern. It's your WHISPERS OF THE CITY power telling you where you should check.
Soon enough you've collected enough documents to hopefully get a rough idea what's going on here. There's five documents you deemed interesting enough to note down.
SHIP MEMO #1: "The safe limit for travel in the Infinite Sea is 1000 miles away from shore. Any further and we have to call off our mission. <span class="mu-b">It's too risky otherwise.</span>"
SHIP MEMO #2: "Remember. W-Company told us we would be pardoned by J and X-Corp if we go on this mission. We managed to sneak the tracking device onto the S.S. FREEDOM. All we need to do is surround them and bring them back to shore. Kill a few for show but keeping them alive for questioning is the important part."
WARNING NOTICE:
"WARNING TO ALL S, T, U, AND V-CORP SHIPS. AN X5 COLOR LEVEL THREAT HAS BEEN LOCATED WITHIN THE INFINITE SEA. DO NOT APPROACH AT ANY COST, ATTEMPT TO STOP ANY SHIPS WHO ARE HEADING IN THE LAST CONFIRMED DIRECTION OF THE X5 COLOR ENTITY."
"ANY SHIPS WHO ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL AFTER IT, UNLESS APPROVED BY FOUR OUT OF SEVEN OF THE FOLLOWING CORPS, SHOULD BE ATTACKED AND BOARDED: P, W, D, X, J, L, R, G."
"WE DO NOT WANT THAT DAMNED SHIP HEADING TO OUR CITY."
EQUIPMENT LIST: "X-CORP SUBMARINE x5 (to surround enemy ship), ENGINE STALLER x2 (to prevent escape once boarded), ICP-ENERGY INJECTORS x10 (for combat use),
