>>5344044Thanks to your warning, Delrio wasn’t able to pull off whatever plot he had been cooking, but managed to escape with a handful of loyalists. Eventually he sought asylum with his old buddies and linked back up with the Escabedo Cartel. To win his way back into their good graces, he sold out the moles you had been blackmailing. Their bodies were discovered in varying degrees of disrepair, to put lightly.
As for the PLA, they’re on their last legs; Delrio apparently baited some of their key leaders into a ceasefire turned ambush. During the ambush, some high-level cartel bosses also bit the dust, leaving Delrio in a prime position for a takeover. Ever since, he’s fully thrown his lot in with Pedraza’s regime; using his hitmen and various connections to help prop him up.
The leadership core of the Grand Liberators have been drawing up various operations once they were informed of your survival, but you’ve only got the operational capability to realistically handle one at a time.
The first, which has Bonilla’s seal of approval, is vicious and simple. Pedraza’s presidential manor has been forced to pull a heft amount of security away to help quell the simmering unrest building in the major cities. Right now, he’s the most vulnerable he’s ever been; but that may not last forever.
And despite the weakened security presence, it still won’t be a cakewalk by any means. In addition to Pedraza’s stormtroopers and sicario hitmen, you’ll also run the risk of tangling with Task Force X assets still embedded within the country.
The next plan, proposed by Almonte, is that you target a major port that’s purportedly a major artery that Task Force X uses to supply Pedraza’s forces. Given the logistical damage your little stunt at their secret police HQ caused, crippling their main supply chain would be devastating.
There’s also a shipment slated for delivery within a day or so, offering a prime opportunity to dig deeper for proof the Squad’s involvement with Pedraza.
Lastly, Mondragon has a plan of his own; that you concentrate your efforts on wiping out Delrio and his power base. According to some scuttlebutt he was able to dredge up, Delrio’s throwing some kind of swanky “look at how much money I have” party to schmooze with regime collaborators, high-level military officers, and to remind his flunkies that he’s the biggest man in the room these days.
Sounds like the perfect opportunity to dismantle his operation in one fell swoop, and get a little payback while you’re at it.
> Launch an assault on Pedraza’s presidential palace. Cut the head off the serpent, and the body will follow.> Go hunting for the Suicide Squad connection. If you can produce evidence linking them to the conflict, they’ll be forced to back off or risk total exposure.> Focus your efforts on crashing Delrio’s party. That rat fuck and his cartel cronies need to learn the price of betrayal.> Other?
