For the rest of the day then, you can gradually struggle to reach marginally better terms with the priestess. Cailinn is her name, a grown woman and shamaness for some years now at her admitting. You carried her to the rocky shallows so that she felt more comfortable closer to the mainland, and there on the submerged rocks some tens of feet underwater, you can better converse. You even undo the old Atlantean royal banner kept tied around your waist for modesty, and give it to her in her state of undress due to the ritual. She certainly cares more about being seen naked than you do.
Though you would have even left the water as well, but then the two of you would not be able to converse. Instead you render her temporarily aquatic, like with Emil and Faysal, so that she doesn't have to concentrate on being able to breathe underwater using magic. Your ability to help her in this way however, doubles as some proof of what you are and perhaps more than anything serves to convince her... some.
<span class="mu-b">"...I suppose the best I can explain it, is that... <span class="mu-i">thing</span> you worshiped and saw, that was what you humans believe was the monster from the old stories. You know that stories are not always true, or can change and become even greater overtime, yes? Well I am the true Tanaloa, that thing was merely the story of me."</span>
<span class="mu-s">"Then... you ignored our pleas? All those centuries, longer?"</span>
<span class="mu-b">"-no... No, not ignored. I was... asleep, after such an effort to sink that great city. Only recently did I escape and hear your call, and here I am now."</span>
The more time you spend with her, ever so gradually does she become slightly more used to you, and considering of what you tell her. Of course it isn't easy, pretty much everything she knew and believed now apparently is a lie, or so she is being told. It will obviously take a long time before she comes around to actually believing you, but in the meantime she at least accepts that you are a divine being and are not hostile to her.
