Lucian suddenly felt a surge of power welling up within his chest. A beating fury of fire that was threatening to overwhelm him with its sheer anger for all who have stained the tunnels underneath the earth. The action was given to Lucian by what could only have been divine providence, telling him to attack the area around him with this might so that he might live.
He did not second guess this feeling, a feeling that Lucian would only claim came from the gods above. His scythe, within a second, was slicing into the air around him with such force that it caused the very wind itself to scream.
A second later Lucian noticed the a black fluid falling around him. It was not just the air that was screaming but the several creatures who have found themselves bisected by his god divine strike. In the darkness Lucian could only see their pained beady red eyes that were staring at him with such hatred that Lucian should have died instead of them.
As Lucian took a step back he realized that the black fluid which covered his blade was infact the blood of the abomination that he killed. Another action, this time a block as three knives came from in front of him, the creatures throwing themselves just enough into the spotlight for the Knight to see them.
Their red eyes were apart of an elongated face which was completely covered in fur. Their limbs were spindly and gaunt, the sight loudly yelling just how brutally starved for human flesh the creature was. Three chittering mouths with long rows of gagged teeth tried to bite, so with the brutal fire that was welling within his chest Lucian sent them flying back into the darkness with a mighty push of both body and will.
When he made one step back, five more came from the shadows.
“SKAVEN!” Yelled Adok as he bellowed a warchant in his dwarvish tongue, “Today I shall right the wrongs in the book, come at me you sycophant craven raki!”
It was then that a cry came from deeper into the tunnel, “KILL-KILL THEM ALL-ALL! DO IT-IT, OR I KILL YOU-YOU MYSELF!”
Suddenly, there were more rats in the room then there was breathable air. As Lucian had gone just a few feet underneath the earth he was now walking amongst the realm of the evil gods that he must dare defy, lest it takes his life.
