This time, it's your turn to paralyze them. You're sick of these giant chickens and their endless stream of special moves. You fling a packet of freeze code at it, halting it mid-leap. Astamon catches it by the ankle while it flies towards him, then uses it as a bludgeon to delete another one. Astamon snaps its leg off for good measure, then flings it down the street. Once the freeze runs out, it starts squawking in agony on the ground, struggling to get back up and flee.
Despite their relative success in warding off Astamon, the birds seem to be losing steam quickly. Half their number have been eliminated by the two of you by now.

The survivors spit out globs of fire that wick across the ground and surge towards you. Astamon sweeps his leg across the bubbling asphalt, parting the flames and creating a bubble of relative safety around you two. The Akatorimon have had enough, and begin running off. They seem winded, their feathers puffed out and their heads drooping. Astamon shoots several more, deleting them as they try to leap around corners. And then they're gone.
"How's your arm?"
<span class="mu-s">"Bad. That was a... scary move."</span>
"They were Data types, it seemed like a Viral move."
<span class="mu-s">"One hit wouldn't have done anything. They just had too many on their side."</span>
You aim at the struggling one and fire, putting a packet of malware through its eye. Astamon starts walking again once the last of them have vanished down the surrounding lanes, more vigilant than ever. Quite a bit of time has been spent battling them. They were well within his ability to handle, but they've provided a major inconvenience.
