Track 4 - Diving below the Umbral shell
https://voca.ro/16ztYBePQZTmYou were within the Fifth Layer. The Crimson Mists of the Thalamus. Naked as the day you were born, nothing came down here with you. Your thoughts were silent.
Mortimer stood alone, the blood flowing from him carried away with it the pain and the fear. Soon only the cold remained, his eyes alert perusing. They searched through the impenetrable layer. He was alone. But he wasn't. He was alone. But two fracture Phobos linger in the mists. Their tall shattered bodies hovering partially hidden and held by some force. Some entire sections were missing and yet still the severed limbs hung perfectly in place. He turned up, looking on from the machines. He knew they weren't worth his attention. However the two smaller humanoid figures that float over the wreckages. They were something else entirely.
We all knew that, you didn't have to tell us. We have been paying attention. Woof Woof. The whispers return and you watch the others.
She is one of them. Beside her is a man,
He was just as naked. Just as wrong. The outlines of inhuman teeth and eyes gave that away. You tremble under their combined gaze. Feeling their attention on you. The whispers hush and a voice echoes within your mind, Slithering down your dispersed blood and along the path into your very soul. To the core of your being.
"Fight."A metal fist smashes through the cloudy maroon wall, you feel a few of your observes cut off as they shattered against the pain. The Ace type Phobos followed it up by wildly thrusting a white edged blade, it struck you in the hip. You scream as it sinks in touching bone and twists. With the momentum of it's metal charge, it knocks you down, chassis knocking together. Your cores sync, connecting for a fraction of a moment. You see her face, eyes nothing but white blood shot orbs. The small pilot emerges from the mist encompassing your core, lashing from side to side restrained within a nest of coiled strands. You spot the glint of catlike eyes over her shoulder. Then it's gone as she pulls back and drives another fist into your war machine. It rocks you, bringing your attention back. You still had the Manual Ejector in your hand, reflectively you raised the other in defence. Interrupting another wild stab.
