The Training Yard was a place filled with Astartes and Acillians who were working to keep up their skills in fighting. In the time between their creation and the first auxiliaries leaving the planet it was found that a majority of Lucian Wildlife were killed by the aggressive hunting of the Acillians.
Only areas that were too dangerous to enter were left alone. Areas that were rated at that point were also areas that the creatures had no chance in making their nest. Thus denied a place to rest and any borrow they made rooted out by the Acillians, no more xenos or wildlife lived upon Lucius.
This was a great boon for the Priests of Lucius, but to the Proelitor it was a significant blow to their training. Thus training yards like this one were built to provide the training required.
The Training yard had a great many things including buildings, gun ranges, and tables for Astartes to perform active repairs on their equipment within. Looking around TalOS noticed that a great many of these were filled with dreadnaughts, each of them either giving some instruction or working with their smaller kin in training exercises.
The only issue was when TalOS stepped outside the great majority of the Astartes had their attention pulled towards him. As they responded to TalOS’s identify markings, they all gave a bow of subservience to the Primarch while showing the Cog Mechanicum.
TalOS soon blurted out the protocol that released their attention, which finally gave TalOS the chance to observe what was happening before him. The Dreadnaughts oddly were acting as if they were standard Astartes, each of them chatting with their fellows and giving out the commands with their mounted vox casters.
They were not bound by what was recorded in other Dreadnaughts of other Legions. How these Dreadnaughts would fall asleep at random or lash out in battlelust due to their last moments of death. TalOS would be the first to compare their actions to those of Knights and Titans. The walking in a regal manner and displays of might they each showed.
