>>5285820You give her a cheeky grin as you take her hand. “Hey, we won, didn’t we? All good in my book.” You’re pulled up by her and give a thumb’s up to the crowds, their cheering growing stronger. ‘However,’ you begin telepathically, ‘Nox is definitely gonna try to use that move later though. We’ll need a counter for it.’
She smirks a bit as the two of you begin to walk towards 19. ‘Oh I’m aware. That’s one reason why I made a big show of it. I know just how to counter it.’
Hah, of course! ‘That’s pretty smart, Pantea. Nice work.’ As the two of you get to 19, it’s your turn to offer a hand to help her up. “Good match indeed. You doing okay there?”
She nods. “Yes. It shows I still have much I need to improve upon, but I feel that this was a good experience.” She looks over to Chiaotzu as he approaches, still a bit scuffed up, but looking okay still. “And I believe I had… fun.”
You pat her shoulder, smiling sweetly. “Glad to hear that. And I’ll be looking forward to our next match, that’s for sure. You’ve certainly improved with your Magical skills.”
“Far beyond what even Gero thought possible for me.” 19 notes, the slightest hint of pride in her voice.
“You did great too, Chiaotzu! Had me on the ropes pretty frequently, and if it weren’t for Pantea, I’m certain I would’ve been taken out of the fight.” you admit. “Got any tips for the next few matches?”
The four of you begin to walk together back to the waiting area as he and 19 think over your question. “I could give you pointers for Krillin, Maple, and your father, but not much beyond that. And if I’m being honest, you’d probably already know most of what I’d suggest to use against Maple and Acer. I don’t believe Nappa will have many answers for your trickier skills, but at the same time I think both he and Krillin know this, and so they’d have planned accordingly.”
“That’s fair…” You hang your head a bit, shoulders slouching.
“I guess the thing I’d bring up on taking Maple and Acer on is… well, finding a way to keep them from bringing out the best in each other.” Chiaotzu tells you. “Now if I knew how to do that, I’d be more than willing to tell ya, but… that’s gonna be tricky.”
