You considered the discussion you had with her. She made a few suggestions for what she would do, and while it was clear she was preferred the culinary and the domestic, she was willing to give it her all to support your ambitions.

Never had you felt so impatient about getting letters before. It'd been three days since you had your last letter from Aila, though it was of no fault of her own that you weren't able to have any.
You checked the mailbox again, then looked around at the sky in hopes of seeing a cyan-colored dot approach from the distance, wondering if Eulia might've come by while you were busy. But no, the mailbox was still empty and there was no sign of any harpy.
You were starting to miss small conveniences, like the near instant emails, from your old world.
This wasn't to say you weren't grateful for the hours-long flight that Eulia had to undertake every time she had a message to bring. The recent storm that came down in torrents not too long ago was the likely culprit to her tardiness. Thankfully the telegraph tower still worked, which allowed you to have a line to the Fastwing Corporation, and gave Ayane the ability to speak with the Mitsubishi-Yasuda family if she so pleased. Although at this point your soft-tailed in-laws were the ones that kept the ball rolling more than you were. That wasn't a surprising development; a steady source of aluminum would be a game changer, and they wanted a part of the pie.
Speaking of the kitsune, you found your own fox wife practicing her flame magic against wet surfaces. She didn't step a foot outside, but challenged herself to keep an ember going whenever it drizzled.
Mel, likewise, was practicing her flight and other fae magics in expectation to bad weather. You beguiler liked to compare notes with anyone that was more magically inclined, listening to suggestions on how to improve her magical skillset.
Gerty, as you noted earlier, practiced leading the clankers.
After you gathered and greeted them, the four of you talked about how things have been going recently. Through the smalltalk you were also able to sort out your thoughts.
