Hunger.
That was the first thing TalOS experienced as the susan membrane released him. It was a deep hunger that troubled him because he felt himself shaken without the feeding of it. In an instant knowledge that he should not have had came to him, and he knew for certain that it was soul stuff that he craved.
His eyes opened and he was not surrounded by Priests or Apothecaries, but by servitors that looked to have had their power sapped out of them.
The power was not sapped out of them, TalOS quickly realized, it was the souls that made up the human half ot the servitor that was taken away from them.
It gnawed at him, the hunger did. He took several steps before his eyes crossed before an eerie purple glow of a Psi Candle. He raised his hand towards it and he felt his soul reach out towards the object. In an instant the candle shattered as the Pariah felt a sense of relief come towards him.
He had to think now, while the hunger was at bay, and quickly he reached out into the Noospheric network in an attempt to connect with someone. The one he connected had the credentials of Fabricator Lord, but it was not Wilmar.
+Fabricator General!+ Fabricator Lord Eretis exclaimed as he answered TalOS’s extension, +Thank the Machine God you have arisen! We feared the worst. What is your condition?+
TalOS felt his soul shift as it tried to reach out and find another source of soulstuff, or anything that could be of use to him, but he found nothing as he searched for this part of reality. He sent the information to answer, +I’m… I’m hungry.+
TalOS could feel the weakness of his person as that connection was sent. His brain worked at it and he realized that he was still in an unstable state of biomatter as he laid upon the floor. Gone was the magnificent strength of a Primarch, TalOS was almost an equal to the common man and suffered worse than those with leprosy.
+Hunger? You must need soul stuff.+ The Fabricator Lord correctly assumed as he sent TalOS a small package, +I will be sending you subjects.+
+Send them.+ TalOS sent as a reply as he felt the hunger slowly crawling upon him again.
