You rush towards the side of the ship that you previously tore open, grabbing hold of the railing and turning a jump overboard into a tight swing that shoots you towards the interior. With your legs extended outward and tensed, your boots crash directly into the skull of one of the pirates, sending it toppling backwards from the sheer force. Shining red lights all turn to focus on you as your eyes adjust to the difference in light level, and what you see isn't at all what you expected when you boarded the ship.
The 'pirates' are all fierce looking automatons, robots with strangely elongated heads that bear a sharp fanged maw and gleaming cameras for eyes. A segmented tail with a dangerous looking barb on the end swings behind each of them, and it looks like there's a fair amount of variety in what passes for arms on them - some have actual arms with hands clutching sabers, while others have machineguns in place of hands, or entire flamethrowers built in place of the forearm. The body itself seems to be made of particularly thick material, and while you believe you'd be fully capable of breaking through it, you might have difficulties with the current numbers you're facing.
You dive to the side thanks to your quick reflexes once several of them start to open fire, while the saber-wielding ones advance on you menacingly. Planting your hands on the floor and somersaulting behind some of the cargo under here, you begin to charge ki into your fingers in preparation to use Flash Lightning on a couple of them - robots should be fairly susceptible to electrical attacks, after all. You swing out of cover and cry out "Flash Lightning!" as you release violent bursts of electricity from the tips of your fingers, which strike out at two separate robots.
The energy surges around them and crackles, causing the red lights of their eyes to flicker and grow brighter momentarily, before they direct their tails towards you and fire the arcs of electricity right back! Having not expected such a reversal, you cry out in pain as the currents run through your body, paralyzing you for a moment and leaving two smoking holes in your clothes where they first struck. You're sure that the skin under them must be similarly burnt, but you have no time for pain; with a surge of ki and willpower, you redirect the rest of the current into the floor as best you can, ending the paralysis in time to catch a scimitar between your hands. With a twist, you snap the blade in half, and shove it into the robot that swung it, causing it to fall over and spark.
