Letting out a sigh you took a pill before the pain began to wake as well. Climbing into the shower you fiddled with the nobs until you manage to get a good flow of warm water. The torrent and fresh smelling soap revitalizing you. The painkiller is doing a lot to help. Searching for a towel you had to clean up a small trail of drips. But before six thirty you were pulling on your boots, your sets of matching uniforms lined out across your bed. A fresh camo uniform covering your body. Giving yourself an examination in the mirror, you were content to wear full regalia. It was an important meeting, one you had a hand in delaying.
Pulling on your beret you were ready to go, making sure you had your toy the world felt right. But you couldn't help feeling nervous, hand trembling. Hovering a good few inches away from the door handle. It was a big day. This was the start of something new. You were really becoming a pilot now, all you had to do was leave the room. Taking a moment you steel yourself. Then you marched out into the hall. Heading towards the recreation room you followed thin blue signs that led out of the personal quarters. the hallways were eerily silent, the snap of your own foot a choir to your arrival. As you traveled through the hallways a door ahead opened. The girl Sophia from the Alpha project appearing, wearing her own uniform. The camouflage pattern a metallic grey. "Hello, feeling any better?" The girl asked, waiting for you to reach her before falling in step with you.
You nodded, adding words calmly. Unsure of what to actually reply with. "I've felt better, but it doesn't hurt too much." Sophia's eyes clearly examining the bruising along your face and the bandage on your neck. "That fight was crazy. The Zeta Candidate is a bloody animal, what did you even do to piss her off… you didn't ask her about her bra size now did you?" The girl laughed, the idea made you embarrassed. At least then you feel it would have been more warranted, but you refrained from judging Haruki too harshly. "It should be sorted now. So hopefully no fights." The pilot raised her eyebrows, her inquisitive eyes trying to deduce any further information from your face.
