>>5950431The three of you go over your future plans to your friends in the Black Eagles, who respond with some measure of surprise.
“A Countess!?” Dorothea exclaims in shock. “No way! We were the only commoners in the Black Eagles, and now you’ve gone and secured yourself a nice title!” Dorothea moans in frustration. She suddenly locks her arm around your own and scoots in close. “Say, Ashe hasn’t put a ring on your finger yet, has he? So, it’s not official? How about you and I get married instead? I’ll treat you ri-hey!” She yelps as Ferdinand pulls your former roommate off you.
“Congratulations, Blair.” Ferdinand says earnestly, even as he wrangles Dorothea aside. “If anyone is fit for the role, it’s you. I’ll also be taking over as the new Prime Minister of Adrestia. I wager I’ll be spending quite some time in Enbarr as I try to right our nation’s course. It feels me with confidence that there will be at least one other noble that I can count on that has the country’s best interest at heart.” He says this as he looks towards Bernadetta.
“A-ah, right! I’ll be taking over House Varley.” Bernadetta says meekly. “I’d…really rather not. But Ferdinand and the Professor both insist I take control instead of my father. So…I guess I have to.” She sighs. “I thought fighting was scary…but at least I knew how to do that! I don’t know anything about leading a county!”
>“Neither do I.” You assure your friend. “But I’m sure we’ll find out. If I discover any good tricks, I’ll write you and tell you all about them.”“Geeze, everyone’s got a fancy chair waiting for them.” Dorothea grumbles. “As for me, I’ll be returning to the Mittelfrank Opera Company. The theater was destroyed during the Siege of Enbarr. I want to help rebuild it better than ever. I think now more than ever, people could use a nice diversion. So, when we’re back up and running, promise me you’ll come see me perform.”
>“I’ll be right there in the first row.”“I have to admit…this is all rather nostalgic.” Ferdinand waxes. “Though it was only a short year…I often find myself missing our time at the academy.”
“Remember when I taught you how to dance so you could impress Ashe?” Dorothea teases you. “You really owe me for that one. Who knew I was setting you up with your future husband.”
“I’d bet it’s safe to say our graduating class was the most influential in the entire history of Garreg Mach.” Corrine boasts. “That’s Black Eagle supremacy for you!”
“Am I allowed to even be in this conversation?” Ashe frowns. “I mean I only joined towards the end of the year…”
“Hey, you saw the light eventually.” Dorothea says. “That counts for something.”
“It’s…hard to believe we’re all that’s left.” Bernadetta says.
