You lose vision in your right eye. You can feel hunks of glass from your scope's lens and the glass of your armor suit ripping into your face. Your rifle is sent clattering to the ground.
You try desperately to get back up and to ignore the shock setting it. The last thing you see or hear is a second gunshot-

For the longest time no one knows what's going on or what just quite happened. Clover collapses to his knees with his body still oozing blood from way too many orifices. Benjamin and Casey immediately rush over to check on him but as the rest of you wait for something to happen...there's no returning volley.
Max is trying her best to hold back from heaving on the ground from the sheer stress of the situation. She tries to say something but the first one to speak up is Molly.
"Holy!!! THAT WAS SO COOL! C-COWBOY! DID YOU DO THAT! DID YOU DID YOU DID YOU?! YOU KILLED THE BAD GUY DIDN'T YOU HUH HUH HUH" Molly is darting around Clover while completely ignoring the two people trying to tend to him. Clover puts up a weak smile upon seeing the girl's exctiment.
"Y-yeah. I did that, huh?"
>CLOVER UKNOWN BOON HAS BEEN REVEALED!
[DRAW AT HIGH NOON] Due to his exposure to anomalous byproducts and use of the WATERLOGGED POCKETWATCH during the P-Corp Facility mission, Clover can now force time to a halt for a brief moment. Once per mission, Clover may spend 3 FLESH to stop time for 1.5 seconds, allowing him to do things otherwise impossible.
>CLOVER is not a SHIFTer despite this BOON. He may also still use this ability again this mission.
>-1 FLESH TO CLOVER. 4/5 LEFT. You imagine future uses will require the full price.
You think it's best to check to see he did actually kill that sniper. "Hey. Max? Kiara? Follow me." You leave the others to tend to Clover's self inflicted injuries.
The trip to the warehouse is still pretty nervewracking. Even with that vision you saw you're not sure if it was your mind playing tricks on you or not.
"Sorry for the sudden slip." Max awkwardly rubs the back of her neck. "Don't know what came over me. I just knew I had to do it."
"Hey! I'm not going to get mad. That thing would've torn me to shreds. That was actually really cool!"
"C-cool? I mean, I imagine Clover and Benjamin have done cooler stuff than me."
"Hey. Every little bit helps." You give Max a comforting smile. "Not like the others could've done anything besides me but you're the one who actually did something. Take pride in that."
With that little pep talk aside the three of you eventually find a way to get up to the roof of the warehouse. There's a large access ladder that has been chained shut near the back of the warehouse. The lock holding the chain has rusted shut but some oil should help that out.
A bit of locking later the three of you are ontop of the roof. It doesn't take long to find what's left of the sniper.
