A ship sailing the Afterseas.
'...'
I made no immediate move. No instant reaction. I merely waited in place, standing atop the water as the ship slowly sailed with a grace unlike anything the Afterseas should possess. It came by my wayside, bringing some degree of brightness with it to illumine the Abyss. And when it came close to my side, I saw a figure peering at me over the deck with green eyes.
I felt like I might be in danger, but they beckoned me then. I felt no deceptive intent from them, inviting me onto their ship like this amidst the worst place imaginable.
I climbed aboard.
