"I mean, yeah I feel weird. I'm a ghost." You shrugged. "Don't worry, I'll return to being the normal human Master-husband you love so much soon enough. Right, Yumi?" You glanced at Yumi. The ghostgirl, still in her trance, gives you a small nod. Though you catch some hesitation in her expression. You mentally file that away for later and look at Mel again.
"Well to be fair you don't look that different from when you were a human, Master." Mel tilted her head. "Other than you having transparent body, I mean and the other obvious ghost stuff." She smiled. "Ghost or not I still love you, Master~!"
"Thanks. Anyway back to my question. What are you doing here?"
"Huh? Oh! Ah, I'm looking for the flowers that Ayane planted when she was prettying up the graveyard." Mel proceeded to give you some details about the foxflower. It was a rare magical flower that only grows in the wild, usually near graveyards or sacred areas.
Mel was able to figure out an impressive amount of details regarding the little flowers— enough for your vixen to entrust her with gathering them. "And that's the only reason I'm here! I'm t-totally not using this as an excuse to stalk you with my binoculars, Master! Hahaha!" She played with her hair, glancing to the ground and then back up at you again.
"Sure you aren't." You grin. But then you get a bit serious. "Mel, would you say that going ghost for more than an hour is bad?" You give Mel the details of what happened this morning. She listens intently to you.
"Hey, I just said it was fine, didn't I?" Yumi huffed, almost offended.
"And I said I'd like a second opinion." You shot back.
"Can't an acolyte such as yourself trust the great, cursed and condemned servant known as Yumi?" Yumi said.
"No."
"Huh? Wha-"
"I think you're alright. For now, at least." Your beguiler said while Yumi kept talking. Mel had taken a few seconds to look you over. "Um, I'm not familiar with ghost stuff, but my mom taught me that if you get rid of corrupted mana before it gets to its second stage then you'll have a stronger chance of survival. I mean, it'd still be reversible even after the first stage, but you'd be in tons of pain and-"
"It's not corrupted mana!" Yumi said, now fully breaking her concentration doing whatever ghost stuff she was doing. "For the umpteenth I, Yumi, assure thee both of my competence! I know that I know what I'm doing!"
"That's, eh- um, can you at least promise that Master will be safe by the end of it?" Mel requested Yumi. "And that nothing weird will happen to him."
"Verily. Rest assured, O doubter, that I wouldn't be as foolish as to endanger Master-sama and myself." Yumi reassured you both. "As much as the great spirit know as Yumi would like to educate him in the cursed and the arcane, it is not worth the deadly fate that would befall us if we tarry."
