There will be no mercy for the messenger or his comrades. At the very most, the Protavic shall have a week before the Bravigrovic realise what has happened. Once they do, the woman-snatchers will doubtlessly be outraged and prepare to scatter our tribe to the wind. The beast-bringers shall need to be ready by then.
The honoured guests are too busy stuffing their faces with glazed pork to notice a crowd form around them. They believe the Protavic to be a timid people, incapable of violence or defiance. So when one of them has his throat slit by a piece of sharpened flint, the look on his face is one of dumbstruck disbelief. The others try to struggle to their feet but they are mobbed before they're able to stand. As for the messenger, his skull is smashed open by a pig femur, held by the very same man who offered him this meal in the first place.
Their corpses shall be buried in Protavic soil – through the cycle of consumption, their Drocrom shall pass on to the Protavic people and empower them. The Bravigrovic shall be denied the sacred essence of these men. But now that the guests have been dealt with, the details of the plan need to be discussed.
There are several tribes that dwell alongside the shore of the Croglatol. Aside from the Bravigrovic, the closest clans would be the Toprocravic, the Bruslavic, the Glachovic and the Vuvovic.
The Toprocravic are those who wear seal skins and traverse the Croglatol in dugout canoes, rather than the primitive rafts of other tribes.
The Bruslavic are those who have beautiful voices, who are said to record and pass on all of their knowledge in the form of song.
The Glachovic are those with long reach, who hunt the wolves, bears and big cats of Grascan with mighty throwing sticks.
The Vuvovic are those who drink blood. With an ominous name like that, most tribes go out of their way to try and avoid them.
Despite the likelihood that they are all hostile towards the woman-snatching tribe, it is not guaranteed that they would rush to the rescue of another tribe. Some of them may only join the fight if they are promised a reward. The Protavic must decide what spoils they would be willing to part with.
They could offer nothing. In this instance, it's unlikely that anyone other than the most devoted enemies of the woman-snatchers would come to the aid of the Protavic.
They could offer Bravigrovic territory. The land of the woman-snatchers could be offered as a reward and given to an allied tribe.
They could offer Bravigrovic captives. Any of the woman-snatchers who survive could be offered as a reward and assimilated into an allied tribe.
They could offer everything. In this case, our tribe will not gain any territory or population from the coming battle. The only reward will be the end of the Bravigrovic.
>Offer nothing.
>Offer Bravigrovic territory.
>Offer Bravigrovic captives.
>Offer everything.
