>>6334884The reasonable amount of updates per day is whatever you're comfortable with, anon. Running a quest should be enjoyable--not an obligation--and if you run yourself ragged trying to bust out an update every day when it isn't sustainable you're just gonna find yourself burning out.

If you wanna write three updates one day and then skip a day because your Nonna is in town, that's fine--just keep your players informed so you don't lose steam and they don't assume you flaked. I've known QMs who update multiple times daily and some who only update once a week, and while the latter isn't ideal, it's certainly doable as long as your voters are aware that that's the situation.
Of course, situations change too. There's no problem with increasing/decreasing updates if something happens in real life. Again, as long as you keep your players in the loop with a quick 'yo I'm a bit busy this week, questies, be back on Friday maybe' then it should be fine.
