>>5906829If dodging the Titanus’ attacks would soon prove to be too difficult, perhaps you could at least exploit its weakness to magic to divert its course. Taking advantage of an opening after you dodge a massive sword swipe; you toss out the largest Forseti that you can. A vortex of green winds engulfs the hulking machine, stopping it dead in its tracks. The Titanus is buffeted by your winds, and while its sturdy armor protects it from any major damage, it’s enough to slow Wedge down. Using the time you bought yourself, you divert course away from the Titanus and descend from the sky. Caleb and his ballista have moved closer and should now be entering firing range.
>Titanus: 950/1000 HPThe Titanus breaks free from your Forseti and goes on the attack once more. It chases you, descending from the sky and quickly closing the distance. You can feel the machine’s overwhelming presence drawing nearer and feel the rush of air as it raises its sword to swipe downward. You bank everything on Caleb not missing his shot, praying to the Goddess that the man’s aim would be true. Before your heart jumps out of your chest, you hear the sound of the ballista drawing back and firing. You don’t see the missile fly through the air, your eyes being too focused on the ground ahead. But you hear things loud and clear when it collides directly with the Titanus. A deathly loud bang signals to you that Caleb did not miss his mark, and when you look above you, the Titanus has been knocked upside down.
The specialized ballista bolt tears through the Titanus’ armor as if it were paper, punching a hole through the other side. Chunks of Agarthium follow the machine’s descent as it comes crashing down to land onto the ground with a massive earth-shattering thud. It rolls forward a few feet, more pieces of Agarthium coming loose, until it finally collapses in a heap directly in front of the rebel army. You land in between the two, observing the aftermath.
“Haha! I got you, ya big blue bastard!” Caleb shouts from behind you. Jumping for joy, the man has certainly earned the right to be as full of himself as he wants. The rebels, who up to this point must have been watching the battle with mounting dread, let out a large cheer. Several of your captains rush forward to stand by your side, yet no one dares to get close to the Titanus.
“What the hell is that thing?!” A wide-eyed Ashe exclaims. “It destroyed the castle all on its own?”
“It looked as if it were prioritizing Blair over us.” Sebastian says. “Had it been the other way around…I shudder to think how we might have stopped it.”
“In all my travels, I’ve never seen anything that destructive before.” Clay says. “But it’s dead now…right?”
“It has to be.” You gasp, trying to catch your breath. “It and Wedge both. There’s no way he survived that fall.”
