>"Who are these Rabbits worshiping then exactly?"
[NIO] "They worship some kinda skeleton thing they call 'Pantocrator'. Picked up worship of it at least nine hundred years ago."
'...Pantocrator...?'
[NIO] "Aye. Come over here, I'll show you."
The Moon God of Woldoria led me to the site of a cathedral. Or a small rendition of one that was heavily damaged in the attack by the 'Invader'. A house of Lunarian worship for the deity the Rabbits revered.
[NIO] "Used to be that they worshiped the Emperor. But since the New Eternity, the Rabbits look to have been acknowledging him as a sovereign ruler and removing the divine aspects. Now, they worship this thing."
I looked up and saw a distinctly skeletal figure adorned with many wings that sprouted eyes, surrounded by myriad words on the ceiling art depiction of it. It was surrounded by eyes that had wings all along the ceiling.
[NIO] "Yeah, didn't expect it myself, but these Rabbits are monotheists, they believe this 'Pantocrator' will come one day to lead them to paradise on "eight wings". Weird stuff. Makes me wonder what's out there, what they've seen..."
'Me too...'
I could only get a very specific feeling here, knowing all I do about "monotheistic deities". I shall have millions of names they shall know me by and attribute when the plan is complete.
[NIO] "Oi, I hate to cut this short, but I really need to get back to what I'm doing. Catch me again later if you want to talk. I have a lot of work to get to. Apologies."
'No problem. Thanks for your time regardless.'
Nio nodded and turned and left. I stood there staring up at the ceiling, pondering this.
If the Emperor created these things, then how come they eventually stopped worshiping him? How can they cast away an old paradigm to embrace something new if they're so docile? What spurred them to this choice...?
I just don't know. I can only theorize.
