Just as there was a bloodbath in the sky there was one here in the streets of the city. The simple fact was when the Legio Proelitors arrived upon the city the place was swiftly brought into a heavy chaos that could not compare.
The Mitu had tried their best in an effort to close the gap created by the onslaught of Particep Semper. Instead of reinforcing the bottleneck it made them all easy targets for either the chainswords of the Astartes or the guns of the Acillians. The Knights were only creasing the devastation as they began to either widen the holes or start collapsing the dozens of buildings that were around them.
The one issue with a race of psykers was that each and every one of them was in some shape or form capable of destruction. Even untrained children would come out into the streets to throw weakly imagined warpflame at the Astartes before they became a plaster underneath the blade of an Astartes. The Acillians were trying their best to cut down the hordes of civilians but it could not prevent the occasional Astartes from being turned into a ball of fire through enough concentrated fire.
Though when untrained civilians would use their powers it also meant that they were unable to resist whatever was afar. The line between reality and the immaterium was immensely thin on this planet, and as such a great many of the civilians quickly started to peril.
The most tame of events was an entire street turning into ice, the Mechanicum hearing voices within their heads, or a civilian turning inside out.
The worst thing was as Vadar watched one of the civilians implode on themselves. The entire area around them became much closer to a rift in reality as more of those large sack like creatures came crawling out of them. The Astartes watched as the creature reached over to toos one of the nearby slugs into the portal that it had exited out of.
It was the war of Unification happening once again it seemed.
>Order everything to be killed on sight
>Organize the entire city to be torn down via Astartes and Knight weapons.
>Leave those foul creatures be, they have enough psykers to placate them before the shields are taken down for Particep Semper.
