Around the Workshop TalOS hosted a series of different symbols these days, both archaic and of the Mechanicum’s own making. His eyes glazed upon each of them to find that indeed these symbols held some sort of sway over the Motive Force.
A simple dash here and a line here, a circle between them. These all had purpose as they reflected the stars above and the atoms within them.
No one else was in the room at this moment for TalOS. They were not there to witness the moment that TalOS’s mind came to a stop.
He felt it. It was an outsider's intrusion upon his mind that was completely dominant over it. Such domination was not because of a latent failure of mental protections or the soul of a Primarch being of weak will. The intrusion within his mind was successful because he had unwittingly always allowed it.
That power only belonged to the Machine God itself.
In the mind’s eye of TalOS he saw two beings. The first he noticed was a massive being who dwarfed even small Titans by the sheer size of its existence. It was in a sort of humanoid form, but only as far as a humanoid could be described with a tale, wings, claws, and a gace that was not that of a mortal man.
TalOS studied it for what must have been hours within his mind. Each and every piece of it was majestic and powerful as the Motive Force rippled around it with ease. In an instant TalOS knew it to be a Dragon.
The being below it was much smaller but an exemplar of humanity. A mighty spear within his hands the Warrior was upon the back of a powerful horse that failed to give them man any height upon the Dragon that was upon them. But TalOS knew this man was not weak for he radiated the radiance equal to the Old Ones.
How did he know that term? Old Ones. That was a term that the Tech Priest understood to be epochs old at this very moment. Older than the challenging Saint, older than Mankind, older than all living races within the present galaxy.
But TalOS knew this word because the Machine God told him that word. So TalOS allowed the Machine God to tell him the tale of Saint George and the Dragon. Or how TalOS understood it, when the Emperor of Mankind challenged the Machine God itself.
