“Can you tell me where his… well is. Probably include his actual home if you can.” Lucian told the peasant as he took his glass of mead and handed it towards Adok.
“Yes, but you also wanted to know if there was some weird people who came through here right?” The Bartender asked as he leaned in, “The dwarf mentioned something about a sword right?”
Lucian wondered for a moment if the course of action was correct, and decided it was, “Yes, we are looking for a weapon that was lost a while back. About a year ago from today I think. Would you know anything about it?”
The bartender was hushed now as he spoke the next words, “Just last night I saw a fellow come through the streets, the fellow looked like a Knightly fellow just like you. He was asking if anyone knows of a sword that glowed blue. Of course no one saw it, but he went up the street towards the garden where the incident happened last year.”
“What did he look like? Was he pale or something like that?”
“Aye, he was.” The Bartender affirmed with a nod of the head, “Clearly some Imperial from the sounds of it, askin’ us peasants if we ever seen a sword. Last I heard though the Imperials were too busy fightin’ over their crown to send types like him here.”
“Trouble is everywhere.” Lucian answered the man, “Both at home and around the world.”
“Aye, it is. I just hope that the Lady blesses you Knights as hard as she blessed that lad Lucian the Durand. If we have a few more folk like him we might make it out of these times.” The Bartender said as he gave a somewhat warm smile.
“I do to.” The Black Knight said, the simple realization of what it meant to be a Black Knight dawning upon him. Yes people will hear of his deeds, but they might never guess that the person they were talking to was the Black Knight himself.
