>>5250632>Mostly even split, slightly more on the North and south hills“Right, we need to think about how we’re going to take those hills,” you say to the members of your team directly under you. “I think that we split ourselves three-two-three between the north, central, and southern hills that we’re responsible for. We want our best long-range tanks on the north and south hills to cover the fields, and the middle tanks just have to be able to hold it. Between the three hills we can also support each other if any one hill comes under concerted attack. Any questions?”
Erika’s hand goes up.
“If you promise to be smart about it, you can be in charge of the tanks on your hill.”
Erika’s hands go back down.
“Any other questions?”
“Which tanks do you want on each hill specifically?” Erwin asks. “I’m assuming ourselves, Turtle, Ocelot, and Werewolf will all be on the outer hills?”
“As well as Hound,” you nod. “Myself with Turtle and Anteater on one hill. Yourselves, Ocelot and Hound on the south, with Mallard and Shark taking the centre.”
Most of your team looks fine with that and after a little bit more chatter about each team’s jobs, you disperse to go to your tanks and get them ready. Yours is mostly ready thanks to the work of your crew while you were touring the field, but you go through your checks anyway since you have the time.
“Friiiiiiiitz,” a familiar voice whines as she approaches. “I think you gotta re-think your plan.”
“What makes you say that?” You ask as you turn to face Erika.
“The tanks in the centre are going to get stomped,” she replies. “The Mark IV is only good for taking a shell for a better tank and by itself, Mallard team won’t last against a concerted push.”
