As I mentioned some of it was inspired by real world people and events. Deputy Supreme Allied Commander is a title used by NATO. In the quest the Warlords Of Lotan / L'OTAN / Organisation du Traité de l'Atlantique Nord / NATO and Stranded Sons was a vague allusion to the situation in Ukraine that had been abandoned and frozen in conflict. The Cauldron of Lotan mentioned in the quest is a reference to a battle in Ukraine known colloquially as the Debaltseve / Debaltsevo Cauldron that occured around 2015, a strategic town taken by Russian separatist forces. Most of the rest of the quest is just ripped off Metal Gear Solid and my imagination. There are other obscure warnings, references and predictions buried across my other quests too.
