>>5673856The pegasus that you’d been tracking finally draws close enough for you to make out the rider’s identity. Stormy lands on the ground, bearing both Anemone and Eulalia, who offers you a polite wave.
“I guess you didn’t need me after all.” Anemone remarks, staring down at the headless corpse of Phaedo.
>“What happened to helping fight the Agarthans?” You spit out. By now you’re barely able to stand and are relying on your Blessed Lance as a crutch.“I did just that.” She shrugs. “The Agarthan mages are all dead. The Galatea girl and I killed the last of them moments ago. After which, she flew off in a hurry towards the battle. At any rate, you shouldn’t have to contend with any more Demonic Beasts or fell magic here.” Dismounting Stormy, she lends a hand to you and the rest of your comrades. A white aura envelops her, and you feel the sudden warm sensation of your wounds closing and mending.
>Full HP Restored“And with that, my work here is done.” Anemone says, remounting Stormy. “Tell me, do you truly intend to see this through to the end? There doesn’t appear to be an Agarthan Sage here present. I simply can’t fathom why you’d choose to remain embroiled in this hell hole. You must know by now that the Mad King cannot win this battle. Look there.” She points towards the far distance, where Edelgard and the rest of her army are camped. The Empire still had fresh soldiers in reserve who had yet to enter the battle, and you could see them beginning to move in the distance. “This fight will soon be over. Once the Empress joins the fray with those soldiers, the Kingdom’s army will collapse. Whether or not the Blackwings remain here will make no difference. At the end of the day, you’re mercenaries. It’s not unheard of for your kind to depart the battlefield when things go south.”
>“Is this concern I’m sensing from you?”“Perhaps. Though I’d be lying if I didn’t have my own selfish motivations. Your dying here would greatly weaken our ability to fight back against the Sages.”
Horns blow from behind you. The Imperial Army that had been fighting against the Kingdom is retreating, and the Alliance is nowhere to be seen in great number. Anemone is correct, the battle will soon be coming to a head.
>A): I’m going to see this through to the end.>B): We’ve done enough. The Blackwings are retreating.
