The idea and facts that were presented to TalOS was something, “It is a good way of memory. Personally I have each of them cataloged and marked, with their remains being used to build the future. Such is the way of the Mechanicum.”
Rogal spoke as TalOS handed over the piece of bone, “I have plans for the future. Already a place has been marked out upon the Phalanx for my sons to mark their names. I have already requested Malcador to get me the names of those who were lost before my arrival, so that they can also be given their honor.”
“It is a good way to do so. The Mechanicum has done so for illustrious magi, such as naming retrieved tech after them or manufactoriums. It all depends on the value of their sacrifice and what it achieved.” TalOS started with the hints of his faith.
“Then that is how you will do it.” Dorn said as his expression changed somewhat. He walked ten paces in another direction towards what TalOS identified to be a workstation. A series of small and micro drills were on the desk as the Primarch revealed a box about twelve units tall and five units wide.
Those same locks were relieved of their duty for the Primarch to lift what was a cover from the box itself. First TalOS noticed the wood which acted as a frame for glass, the workmanship of which TalOS knew was Rogal’s own handiwork. Inside of it rested a cloth after which TalOS saw a skeletal hand resting within it.
Rogal Dorn focused upon the hand for a long time measuring it. He then looked away from the hand and towards his brother, “This is the hand of Eadred Dorn, my Grandfather. I did not realize it at the time, but when my Grandfather taught me Scrimshawing he meant for my skills to be used at this moment. Whoever succeeds the ruler shall Scrimshaw the bones of their predecessor in honor of him. My Adoptive Father died before he could take the throne, so I am Eadred’s de facto successor. So it is my responsibility.”
That was not a surprise as even TalOS experienced that. That was likely the reason why this was brought up because they were both raised to succeed their rulers. TalOS was aware something was off the moment Particep Semper was put in his name. That does not happen unless you have gained the ire of the Fabricator General.
“I have talked to others and taken their considerations. I want your opinion, as someone who did not know him in life you might say something others have not.” Rogal placed in TalOS’s hands.
