“The logic behind this planet is simple. My Federation does not have enough food but we have many planets that could make it. Many of them however lack the infrastructure or are simply too desolate for colonies to grow rapidly. Thus our Council ruled that we are to build up the realm.” TalOS gave his point to stop the globe on a major plains, “This, like many of the planets, is meant for the production of foodstuff. A core to the growing Federation of Lucius.”
As TalOS said this he looked over to see his brother studying it. There have been a great many times that TalOS had shown this work to others. Each of them had taken it differently, let it be awe, dismissal, or acceptance. Looking upon Dorn the Fabricator General realized the Primarch was trying to unravel the schematics before him. An attempt to comprehend them.
“This has been the reason you stayed away from the greater Crusade. You have been building worlds where there have been none.” Rogal Dorn finally answered.
“I am making them better.” TalOS made sure to inform his brother, “Before I touched these worlds they would have been making a quarter of their output. Because I have touched them, from now for thousands of years they shall be producing at the very least four times more food. Agriculture is the bedrock of civilization, so I am making sure my foundations are sound.”
“It is still the reason you stay away despite your achievements.”
To those words TalOS could only nod, “If I leave them now they will only crumble. I cannot allow that to happen.”
Dorn held back for a moment for study. His hands moved over and found the manual controls of the device that stood before him. While TalOS was sure his brother had likely never used a device like it yet he moved the image with the ease of a practiced user.
“What protects the planet?” He finally asked.
“A mix of personal militia and a sub-branch of Knights.” TalOS answered his brother forthright, “The Knights will have only a few fortresses on the planet simply because there are not many of them. However their population is already exploding with families seeing the need for more Pilots, so by the end of this century there will be at least twenty five Knights on any given planet.”
“Large vehicles defending the world, so you have made massive barriers and open fields that are easy for them to defend. Fortresses are arranged in either killfields or nestled between mountains. What I recommend is that you make sure the ground immediately around the fortresses are made of stone. That way when the rains come, your warriors are not held static because of rain.”
