You already know the basics: The BLOOD makes things invisible, and it can alter the appearance of objects in certain conditions, while the SCALES produce a slurry that drugs and confuses people even without direct physical exposure.
You, SACA, and Hidaka spent a good chunk of time trying to figure out how to squeeze the last bits of value out of these samples for when you eventually stumble upon the ANGLERFISH again. There's no one single experiment you do; you simply throw shit at the wall until something sticks.
Heating them, chilling them, exposing them to electricity, exposing them to chemicals, basically everything you could reasonably do with the supplies you have. A lot of them ended up being duds and complete wastes of your time, but you eventually stumbled across something that works for both of them.
First up, STATIC BLOOD.
While you did discover that it can copy and paste appearances, you only did some basic tests on it. SACA had a pretty neat proposal on what it could do after you gave it some time to study it: What if it could alter what a person looks like? Cheap, instant plastic surgery or a new infiltration tool.
And, well, you did manage to find a way to make that work. It required exposing the blood to a hair, blood, and tissue sample of another person, presumably to copy its genetic material. You're still not sure on the specifics, but SACA's proposal actually worked.
Hidaka didn't quite know what to say when part of her arm turned dull grey. "...You were always grey, now that I recall. Why?" She squints at the patch of grey skin.
"I couldn't tell you to save my own life." You've been like this for as long as you can remember. It's not a family thing, at least?
You're getting sidetracked. The blood's properties do work with no obvious side effects, but they're very short-lived. Sweat is enough to melt it away after a few minutes, but you could certainly sell this to ARC and have them make something out of it.
>STATIC BLOOD can be used to make very potent cosmetics, which can sell for a very pretty penny.
Secondly, STATIC SCALES.
You wanted to find a way to refine, to control, the mind-altering effects of the slurry. Maybe you could use it as a weapon, something like a flashbang, something for crowd control. You messed around with different mixtures, and you eventually stumbled across one that altered what the slurry does to a person.
You vaguely recall that, in the lab that the ANGLERFISH was found in, there was something in the air that scared the guards away. And you found out what caused that. When you hovered a small piece of torn and bloody skin from you, it does nothing. Same thing happens when a sample from Hidaka is taken.
When they are both hovered over the slurry at the same time, it produces a nearly invisible gas that only SACA is able to detect.
It doesn't appear to harm anyone, but Hidaka immediately backs away from the slurry, not wanting to even look at it. "Something's wrong with the sample."
