"Never had a good family myself but at least I found people who cared about me after the fact. I get ya wanting someone to listen to yer woes; D-Corp sucks. But this isn't it."
The mossy heart behind Seath is beating faster, faster, and even FASTER with each mention of a 'family'. Large tears are forming all over its surface that it struggles to patch them back up.
The heartbeat is almost soothing to listen to. You could easily go to sleep if you listened to this.
Seath is struggling to steady himself. His remaining good eye is darting around the room in a desperate attempt to process the situation he finds himself in. "...I-I think I need to go." Seath slowly stumbles over to your group with very strained movements. He has to keep leaning against the wall to keep some semblance of balance.
The three Mold Bodyguards snap out of the daze now that the last of the neutralizing gas has exited the grenades; The air, while not nearly as thick with spores as it was perfectly, has enough now to let the bodyguards function.
They make a beeline right towards Seath at blindingly fast speeds, too fast for even Clover to react to, in order to restraint him. They wrap their vine-like arms around his body in order to keep him here. His neck, remaining good arm, and both legs are fully engulfed by the vines now. One wrong move and he's dead.
Shit.
Your group doesn't quite know what to do since even if Clover shoots at them, you imagine they have the same functional immortality as the Mold Dogs. At best they'd shrug it off and continue to restraint Seath. Worst case 9is you miss and hit Seath by accident.
Can't use fire on them since, well, Seath is right in between them. Fire has a nasty habit of spreading!
Kiara forces you to look towards the mossy heart again, jabbing her finger wildly at it. You squint your eyes to see what she's showing you.
Oh! A weak spot, perhaps. There's a vertical gash about as tall as you are (you're like 5'7" last you checked? Antlers not included) sliced down the middle of the anomaly. Its surface shudders with a horrible fluidness to it before something is spat out of the gash. It's another Mold Bodyguard but far shorter and more stumpy compared to the others.
The gash is also wide enough for something to be thrown into it. Like, say, a ball of anomalous oil.
Max and Benjamin both pick up on this and they turn to you for help, "Create a distraction. Anything." "First time I have to use my ability in combat, haha..."
You dig into your pockets for one of your DELUXE HARPOON GUNS and, after carefully aiming at one of the Mold Bodyguards restraining Seath, you pull the trigger. The harpoon rips into the head of the bodyguard with ease! You violently lean backwards and that force is enough to send the bodyguard's head flying off its neck!
The head is sent smashing against a nearby wall. It splatters with the same liquidness as a rotten hunk of pumpkin. That outta buy you time.
