As you walk, you keep an eye out for security instances. Your eyes constantly flicker upwards, expecting one to be seen flying overhead. You’ve spent your final Optical Camo usage on rescuing Phascomon, so you’re dry.
You finally reach the rendezvous point. At this time of night, few people are making use of the parking lot. You watch it for twenty minutes before concluding that no vehicles are going in and out, and that it's safe to enter the grounds.
Instinctively, you look for that shock of hair that Ryan walks around with. You don't manage to find it. Instead, somebody whistles at you from atop a gate control terminal.
"Marnie! Here!"
You look up, and you’re happy to see Bella sitting there in the pink of health. She looks like her usual gloomy self, save for the little smile on her face.
"Bella!"
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"And me!"</span></span> Gazimon calls from her Digivice.
"You're good to walk around again?"
"Yeah. Thanks to you. Squid did a diagnostics test on me. Absolutely nothing wrong. Like nothing ever happened."
You look down at your own leg, which once bore that nasty scar. Though her disfigurement was infinitely more severe, you had to bear your injury for quite a bit longer. You can empathize with how she would have felt.
"That's great! You volunteered to come pick me up?"
Bella nods. She slides off the terminal, kicking her legs through the empty air as she tries to lower herself to the ground. You end up having to walk over and help her down.
"Phew... Out of practice. I wanted to help you out. I heard Phascomon is... How bad is it?"
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"Yeah. What got him?"</span></span>
"DarkTyrannomon." You sigh. "Well, at the end of his life, he was SkullGreymon."
"No way... From the news report? Squid was freaking out." She mumbles.
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"Brigadramon finished the job."</span></span> Gazimon remarks.
"He did. But we fought him and won before he Digivolved. Phascomon just needs a ton of rest now. Nothing life-threatening."
You can't see her expression from inside the Digivice, but she beeps softly and says nothing else.
"Let's get moving. I don't want to use the Network again." Bella declares.
"Of course. The sewers will do. They haven't auto-tagged me, but I think it's only a matter of time..."
The two of you hurry to the nearest teleportation beacon.
