“This,” Sybil explains as she taps a series of tubes pulsing with <span class="mu-r">RED</span> light, “Could either be the <span class="mu-b">POWER SUPPLY</span> or the <span class="mu-r">WEAPON FREQUENCY.</span> A surge of <span class="mu-g">MAGIC</span> might make it work harder… or cause it to overload. Who can say?”
You frown. You were hoping <span class="mu-i">she</span> could say, actually!
“Over here is the <span class="mu-g">TARGETING ACCURACY.</span>” She continues, running a finger along a pitted pipe glowing with <span class="mu-g">GREEN</span> energy! “Though it might also be some kind of <span class="mu-b">IFF SYSTEM</span> as well… If you look carefully it appears to be a bit damaged.”
Sure enough, a closer look reveals that the light inside is emitting a few sparks… Not good, maybe!
“No, not good.” Sybil frowns. “It would explain why these cannons are firing so indiscriminately… if we tweak it a little, however…”
“Maybe we could get da’ ‘friendly’ system back online!” Ly concludes before you can get a word in! RUDE!
“And then there’s <span class="mu-i">these</span>...” The Goth concludes, stooping lower into the shadows where a mass of <span class="mu-b">PURPLE PIPES</span> sit. “I traced them all around the cannon and I can’t quite figure out what they do–considering where they are, however, these could be conduits for some kind of-oh!”
Her pale face lights up once more as she discovers something else! Before you can ask what, Syb’s already pointing it out!
“Look, Stanley–a <span class="mu-b">HATCH</span> of some kind! Where do you suppose it leads?”
Hey, you can work with <span class="mu-i">THAT!</span> Before you can investigate, however, the entire cannon lights up as it prepares for another blast! <span class="mu-s">GET OUTTA THERE!</span>
Blinking to your side, Sybil calmly adjusts her bangs as the two of you watch the pipes flash with a blinding light before another cannon shot rocks the hillside!
“Well…” She mutters to herself as you continue to watch the bombardment, “What do you feel like meddling with today, Stan?”
