Berdly nods in excitement and Catti shrugs both seemingly satisfied with the troublemakers answer.
The trio of minor tomfoolery open the doors to the library which is unsurprisingly rather empty. “Ah, here it is.” Berdly says grabbing a folder off a nearby table.
“So what exactly, is….” Thistle begins but his voice is cut off by the slamming of wood against the wall. The back doors of the library suddenly swing open, emanating a suffocating darkness. Causing all in the library to freeze in place save for Catti. Berdly slowly turns around to see the pure black void before him, the doorway is pitch black, there are no forms visible within just a colorless void without light.
“W-what?” Berdly says looking at something that seemingly defies the logic that has defined his life to this point. An unnatural wind licked at his feathers sending an unnatural shiver up his avian spine.
Catti looked upon the void room with interest. “It opened on its own….Possibly a poltergeist of sorts?” Catti questions stepping closer towards it.
“D-don’t be ridiculous ghosts aren’t real!” The nerd says as the ominous wind that suffocates the room still runs up his spine.
While the other two looked on in awe, the lesser bushling felt something else, a sense of morbid joy, one of opportunity.
“Catti, Berdly, have either of you seen anything like tis’ before?” Thistle asks walking up close to the door, looking into the endless abyss.
Both shake their head albeit Berdly did so a lot more frantically than Catti.
He then spins on his rooted heel and turns to them with his classic cocky expression.
“We just found our newest scheme! We can make people pay to see this!” Thistle exclaims opening his arms wide. The possibility of something truly supernatural second to the idea of making a quick buck.
