“Are you sure about this?” your friend asks, easily blocking your left jab with his forearm before ducking your right cross and countering with a perfectly timed left uppercut to your exposed side. You wince at the blow, but still manage to drop your right elbow down straight at his head in retaliation. He leaps back, narrowly avoiding the blow before sliding to a stop a few feet away, arms up defensively as if expecting you to rush in after him. But seeing you standing still, he lowers his guard just a bit. “I know Lord Beerus can handle it, but I'm not sure that even your Golden form can handle that.”
“I believe that <span class="mu-i">I</span> shall be the judge of that. And what sort of Destroyer candidate would I be, if my own subordinate doesn't believe fully in my power?” you ask him, lowering your own arms as well. “I think that this is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate just how much more powerful I've become than the last time we fought seriously. Wouldn't you agree, Whis?”
“Of course. If the battle gets too out of hand, or Karn here is unable to control that power once more, Lord Beerus or myself can interfere.” the angel says casually, while Lord Beerus remains silent for several seconds before speaking up.
“I think pitting the two strongest mortals of my universe against each other will be quite the show, if nothing else.” the Destroyer says, but you immediately get the feeling he isn't saying his true thoughts. “Go ahead, why don't the both of you hold nothing back and show me what you can really do?”
“Yes, Lord Beerus.” you both reply, you and your best friend turning back to face each other. You are Lord Freeza, conqueror and ruler of the Seventh Universe's mortal realm and a candidate to become its next Destroyer deity. After the initial 'battle' between the reawakened Lord Beerus and yourself, as well as several of your most powerful allies who all call New Salda home, the Destroyer had been sufficiently entertained and even offered to take you for training to become a Destroyer as well. Which you had accepted, and spent several months living and training in the divine realm under the tutelage of the deities. Until Karn just <span class="mu-i">showed up</span> last week via his Instant Transmission, wondering where you'd gone off to. Which had annoyed Lord Beerus immensely, the deity threatening to destroy the Saiyan for his insolence. Which led you to defying the Destroyer for the first time.
