You notice lying against the busted shack in the center is the corpse of a Free Agent. Eyes lighting up you begin the age old trick of the trade for looting a dead body, poke it with your foot to see if its alive. A minute passes, two minutes, three, a kick to their helmet and still no response.
"Well, guess that's that" you say to yourself. A quick look over of the body reveals that they were an amateur, grade 9 judging by the stone tag that they are wearing, and the A.R.K book that they have. Snagging and flipping it you are able to tell a few things right off the bat. (Thank goodness for standard Drone training teaching you how to read!)
The 1st of which is that this Free Agent was named Joan, and judging by the lack of any tags or identity most likely didn't belong to a office. The 2nd of which makes you frown a bit as a blast hits you in the face. She was young, very young for someone belonging to her occupation. The book says nineteen, but she was only a few months in. Leaving the book by her you take a quick look at what she's wearing. Joan, or at least the hunk of flesh that was Joan is wearing armor or at least a what a rookie could afford to wear that wasn't a costume. A padded tunic for body armor which is decorated by a LOT of pockets, and surprisingly a metal helmet and mail attachment. Shame the helmet and skull inside it has a giant puncture hole right through the back of it, but the jacket is more than fine and seems to be your size. She even has a backpack which looks to be quite full!
However as you begin to fumble around for it you freeze as you can hear a far off conversation, its indistinctible but still the idea of being caught fills you with dread. Nobody likes their turf to be raided, not the corps, not the syndicates, and certainly not a lot of mutated "ferals".
>What now? >Grab something and run? If so what will you grab? Go for her weapon, the helmet, the jacket, or the backpack? >Hide? They can't be sticking here for long, and you can maybe let the current take you down to where you'll go. >Just gun it, you'll be able to at least get a head start if you do. >Write in.
