As you rest overnight, your cells remain active. Your dreams are perforated with the feeling of growing tougher, as well as more... Numerous. In your dreams, the random mishmash of images and emotions begin to sharpen, gaining clarity as well as definition. The chaos within your mind gradually grows more ordered, and your understanding of your selves and the dream space around you becomes more acute.
As your dreams become regimented, something strange happens within: you begin to sprout several strange growths on your body, poking through your flesh and then peeling off once they grow too large. The oddest thing about them though is their eyes, curious and cunning. And then they speak to you in the high pitched voice of children. They ask for direction, for your understanding of the world, for your approval and guidance. Something swells within your hearts at the sight of your progeny, a feeling similar to how you feel when you think of Sophia.
You spend much of your dreams playing with your children, teaching them the ways of the world and how to survive, and you barely notice as your scales harden, protecting you against the playful nips of your brood. Eventually however, you feel your body stirring, and reality reasserts itself in your mind. You awaken, no longer surrounded by your children, but you do feel something... Separate from the rest of you, yet still an undeniable part to your form. Perhaps those dream children weren't completely imaginary? You look around and see Sophia, sitting on a makeshift chair and reading some kind of book, and you can just make out the words "Cujo" set in bright red on the front.
Noticing your rising form, she says "Morning sleepyhead. Your scales look shinier by the way, did you sneak off and take a bath or something?" That confirms it then, your dreams weren't completely imagined. Perhaps that strange feeling inside your body are the faint whispers of your unborn children? Every part of you, even the Warrior, wants to bring those small creatures out of your mind and into the world. But who's advice should you listen to about their function?
>Give birth to combat ready children. THEY MAY BE WEAK FOR NOW, BUT THEY SHALL STILL BE USEFUL IN THE UPCOMING WAR!
>Give birth to hunter-gatherer children. In times of need, they shall hunt and forage to supply the rest of us, and in times of plenty they will be able to act as our eyes and ears in the outside world.
>Give birth to mobile pollen globlike children. We can let them explore at night, and find the best hidden nooks and crannies to nest in and fulfill their purpose. With them we will be able to bring even more Things to the fold!
