Setsu has some balls to call you right after he kicked you out of the chat group without warning. Whatever, it's not your problem. You send his call into voice mail and set about logging into your investment account through your laptop. 2018 has been a weird year for investments, your US stocks must still be up though.
Down below, your parents have clearly turned off their phones and gone to the front door to see who is constantly ringing the doorbell. The stiff front door slides with a loud clatter as a loud exclamation of dismay erupts from the throats of your parents. You put on your headphones to block out the noise. As you do this, your phone rings once more.
Setsu is calling again.
Something tells you that if a person is willing to call again despite being sent to voice mail immediately, it must be serious or he feels he's entitled to your immediate attention. You consider throwing him back into voice mail again but decide it won't hurt to hear what bullshit he has to say.
"Better make it quick, I'm in a real bad mood," you growl out into your phone.
"I have to make it quick for your sake. I'm sorry, I know you're pissed about getting banned, but that's not important right now. I've got potential bad news, and bad news," Setsu speaks so quickly, you almost don't catch his mile of minute motor mouth explanation.
"Let's do the potential bad news first," you say this in a snobby bored voice to Setsu as you open your investment account and see how well your ETFs and stocks were doing. The poor shrine boy at the end of the line cannot imagine the wonderful sight gracing your eyes. Wealth! The result of years of hard work and the good luck to have grandparents' willing to give you permission to open an investment account at the age of 13 because of bullshit regulations. Everything is beautifully automated to reinvest and it's set to sell your stock at certain crazy price points. Time to shovel some more yen in.
"Did your sister return home in the last hour with Asuka?" Setsu's voice is dead serious. Something about the tone of his voice sends a spike of fear through you. Potential bad news indeed, you aren't interested in your investments any more.
"What are you talking about? My sister has been in her room all this time and Asuka hasn't come by my house at all," you try to puzzle out why Setsu would even ask such a thing. You shut down your laptop and walk over to your sister's bedroom door.
"That's where you're wrong. Your sister decided to go with friends to do a kimodameshi test of courage near the Shrine. According to Yona, they haven't seen your sister after she went off to do the last test on her own. It's a cave housing the Gods. They waited outside the cave but she never came out. That was about 2 hours ago? Asuka came by trying to find Kasumi after seeing that recording in the chat group. She went into the cave and never came back out either. The kids got so worried, they checked inside the cave but found no one inside."
