“Yes. We dare.” you begin, hovering in front of him with your arms crossed. “Mister Zelos. Archon, deity of this world, bird brain, we know quite a lot about you. Like how you profess a lot on improving one’s self and how it should be the goal of every mortal. But when you're challenged to a fight by mortals, you lecture us on how we’re blasphemers who defy the will of the gods who know not what we do, and how my friend 19 is a mere machine.” You gesture to her, damaged, worn, but victorious nonetheless. “But if we can push you to the brink, are we not living examples of your own philosophy, having improved ourselves to this level? And no one has forced us to improve to this level unwillingly. And if you fall here, is it proof that you have much to improve on, yourself?”
“You DARE compare the chaos you’ve unleashed here to the PROGRESS I brought?!” he spits out venomously. “You DARE?!”
“I don’t just dare, I say it because it’s true. You lost.” You lean in a bit. “I know, alternate viewpoints suck to hear, but if you let them ring around in your head a bit and get new knowledge, that is also self-improvement, and willingly done. It’s up to you.”
He glares at you angrily. “So what, you think you can waltz in here, try to uproot everything, and leave believing you have taught me some kind of lesson?”
“Yeah, pretty much.” you affirm nonchalantly. “Because you are going to need to learn from this. One way or the other. You think you can continue the same old path after this.”
He’s silent, still just glaring angrily. But he knows this is over. He knows you’re right.
