>>5221157Universally the centralization of power through any means, without fail produces more tyrannical and abusive systems, regardless of whether or not the gluttonous bureaucratic monstrosity is a State, a Church, a Corporation or something else. The longer a chain of command gets the more separated the top leadership becomes from the day to day operation of the entity and the more prone said leadership is to making costly errors.
We as mortal creatures have a limited perspective on which to see the world, when the leadership of an entity no longer partakes in it's day to day operations they are no longer aware of what said departments of the entity actually need, and are often lack the understanding of how that department even functions to begin with, making their decision making even worse.
Another consequence of this is that even after repeat failures the people responsible for these mistakes are often never replaced, since the people above them as mentioned often don't have the faintest idea of what's going on with the people immediately below them let alone 2 or 3 layers deep only becoming aware when severe problems arise. As such these are handled by middlemen who possess all of the issues previously mentioned further distorting and misinterpreting with each rung of the ladder the situation climbs.
All of this is assuming the unrealistic scenario everyone is operating with the best intentions for their colleges and are unwilling to abuse and sabotage for personal gain. The larger an entity grows the more likely it is to attract parasites who, while nearly worthless as actual employees are adept at climbing the hierarchy of these kinds of structures and using them for personal benefit. Once in these positions of power like a virus they use their position to excise and replace detractors with cronies, who in turn hire more worthless parasites in the lower levels until the whole thing falls apart. The further along in this death process the entity is, the more cruel it is to the people who actually fulfil it's vital functions as the median skill level of it's average member decreases. As it dies the entity seeks to consume smaller, healthier systems in order to nourish itself, leeching off of the more efficient entity to preserve it's life for a little while longer.
These sub entities become infected with the parasites and like a rejected organ after a brief period of function it too begins to die. This continues until the monstrosity is too bulky to support itself and becomes to weak to feed itself. In this vacuum tiny remnants from it's more competent parts will gather into new, unspoiled entities. In time they too will bloat, become infested and die, the cycle of misery and decay has existed for all of human history regardless of structure of ideology and will continue so long as man lives.
