>>6326559Every object that Leonora had caused to levitate in midair is now hurtling towards you at heightened speed. Before you are pulverized into the ground, you quickly chant off a Wind spell, using your final charge of the Crest of Macuil. Against non-aerial foes, Wind was typically a weaker spell to rely on. But empowered by your Crest, you are able to overcharge the spell into a fierce tornado. You summon violent winds, deflecting the makeshift projectiles that the Gloucester wench had thrown your way. Pieces of wood and tomes are sent flying back out into the room, shattering against the wall.
“So, you aren’t just brute muscle after all!” Leonora exclaims. “That was some quick thinking!. But your paltry magic pales in comparison to my own!”
Rising higher into the air, Leonora begins summoning a storm of clouds. You think to try and shoot her down with your bow, but the shot is difficult. Fuck, this was annoying. Had you your other Crest charges, you could fight her on even ground. Hell, even Fionn would be welcome at this point. At least then you could fly up and knock her down yourself. But Leonora had every advantage against you here. She was picking her fight well, and she knew it.
The clouds open up, and you sense a fearsome power welling above you. Leonora crackles with lightning, and glows blue with the activation of the Crest of Gloucester. You knew that her Crest would allow her to empower her sorcery even further.
“Don’t let this kill you!” She taunts gleefully. “Otherwise I’ll have to break my word to poor Arios!”
>Leonora: MAG 60 - 28 RES = 32 + 10 (Crest of Gloucester) = 42 DMG>Tristain: 10/78 HP>Resolve Activated (+7 STR, SPD, DEF)You are brought to your knees as Leonora swings Thyrsus down, summoning forth a wave of magic from the cloud that engulfs you. The pain is nigh unbearable, and you can hardly hear yourself scream over the explosive humming sound of her spell. When it is over, you are somehow still alive. A large crater has formed under you, and there is a terrible ringing in your ears. Holding her off like this was impossible. The only chance you had was to shoot her down and pray that your aim was true. Shea’s bow was tightly gripped in your hands, having somehow not broken under the duress of Leonora’s spell. You knock an arrow and pray to the Goddess that your aim is true. As you aim for Leonora’s smug face though, the woman is struck by a beam of magic.
A vortex of wind has blasted Leonora directly. The Gloucester woman takes the attack full force. Her magical resistance is high, and the sorcery does not do much in the way of damage. However, it succeeds in another aspect. It sends her flying away from you, the board she had been standing on being propelled all the way to the other side of the room. She shrieks with frustration as she is denied her chance to torture you. You turn around to find the source of her issues.
