>>5737629>>5738176When the beast slams its front legs down on you- it is not as you expect. The bodies that make up its support hit you as hard as two great stone-like hooves would; but they claw at you with their hands and moan at you. You can see their distorted, haggard faces. These poor souls, damned by some unnamed crime, tear at you out of anger or obligation- these are the most accursed souls you could imagine- forced to hold up the weight of this creature with their slender elvish frames. Are they alive? Are they spirits? Is there any difference to a being such as this?

Normally, felling such a great and mighty beast would be a cause for celebration. But to many in the party, there is only a feeling of sadness, and loss. Somehow, the woods that you are in, and the rest of the forests on the island, simply "feel" less. Like the majesty and purity of these woods, unchanging and strong, have now been finally put away. The Spirit, a great and powerful monster, was still a threat- it spared no effort in trying to kill you and break you against the trees and stones. You had no choice. But something about it dying there feels... sad.

The beast is shivering. Its moan sounds throaty and echoing- it is not the call of a great elk bellowing. It revberts the sound of thin and hollow metal shell- like the sound of a ghosts wisps. It forelegs, made up of cursed elves, whimper along with it.
Who feels <span class="mu-i">pity</span> for this creature?
