>>5195178Exhumed skeletal remains speak stories of the harsh reality. Cannibalism, mutation and starvation. Along with countless other horrors. And as everything dwindled the world grew quiet and some claim for years the world basked in total silence. Obviously that is more of a metaphor for the lack of human activity. Techno barbarians raged war and fought to reclaim what had been lost. Now due to the drastic collapse, much less records remained but still a few did. Aged and blackened photos of hordes of men, in their thousands armed with rifles and tribalistic fetishes. TechCults. Saviors of humanity to some and mad monsters to others. The museum's accounts were rather vague and unbiased, but you simply weighted that up to the actual emptiness of recorded history. Next was as the morsels of men began to return to the surface war returned with them. The Eastern Aggression, the blood hordes descend on Europa starving and maddened.
It was tough fighting but the early survivors were hard people and held back the foe. The Holy Wars began, retribution and dominion birthed from rage. New kingdoms followed as the Eskarrian Principalities took root, even around this time the Elysians and their forty kings were reaching onto the coast of the continent. Through Europa life raced to where it had once been. The discovery of Phobos leading the way. Deep in the mountains, paintings and numerous other pieces of art displayed the alien machines being discovered across the globe. The trade that shipped the machines back and forth and the field labour that turned farmers into the weapons of war. Taking your time to absorb as much as you can, the gang continues. Phobos through the ages was the next display. Now for as much as the Eskarrian Empire knew the Phobos do not process classification, only the ones man had given them.
Each individual unit's reason for creation was simply assumed. Through the earliest attempts at the bonding of mind and metal the preferred types were not actually the human-esc constructs. Instead the most popular were great six legged machines that worked immense fields of land or hauled great caravans and did other important jobs. But as the world shifted towards war the Phobos began to be outfitted for combat and so did the desired form shift. The less familiar constructs were sold or simply left to rot while the more bipedal types were favored. The lurched over and animalistic bodies left you in stunned silence, the glistening orbs just waiting to be interacted with. Some of the shapes mimicked close to terrestrial animals but a few of the strange designs were close to nonsensical.
