You, Harum, and Barbar all work quickly in fanning out over the area, stomping your big metal boots over to examine various areas of the seafloor. Harum seems to be trying to examine the sediment itself for any signs of clues, while Barbar is checking out the coral structures for some reason. You, however, direct your attention to the hardened rocks jutting out of the ground on instinct. After but a few minutes of searching, you find something curious - an opening in a rock wall, a cave entrance that leads into utter darkness.
"Hey guys, I think it might be in here." You say, waving to grab their attention. They move on over to you before you continue. "The Meteor crashed down a long time ago, right? So it's bound to be buried kind of deep by now. And whatever buried it is going to be hard from millions of years of build-up." You explain.
"Makes sense to me!" Harum pipes up, while Barbar just gives a grunt of acknowledgement.
Together, with you at the lead, you enter the underwater cave system with your lights pointed outward. It's a bit awkward initially due to the stalactites overhead, and it only serves to become harder to navigate the deeper you go due to tightening walls, sudden drop-offs, and a varying maze of stalactites and stalagmites to weave through. At one point you even end up encountering a swarm of gigantic eels swathed in crackling electricity, but thankfully your diving suits redirected all currents rather than letting them enter your body. Some did try to take a bite out of all of you, but some gentle chops to their heads discouraged them enough to have the offenders and the rest of their brood swim past you to flee instead.
After what feels like a full hour of cave delving, you jump down one final drop into the dark only to realize that this drop has put you in a far LARGER hollow than you'd been journeying through. Your light fails to illuminate the opposite wall, and you're dropping for almost half a minute before your feet contact something hard and solid again. You tilt your body enough to make your light sweep over what you're standing upon, and you can see that it's exactly what you were looking for - the meteor of legend that a God supposedly sent to earth long ago.
Something about it feels strange, like there's a pressure to it that you can't place - certainly not the pressure of the sea around you. It makes you nervous just to be this close to it, for whatever reason, and it's like looking into an all-consuming void almost...you really have no idea why that would be, though. Shaking the thoughts from your head, you give a thumbs-up to the others as they touch down on either side of you.
"We're here! Let's get what we need." You exclaim, before pondering. How much did you want to take...?
>As much as each of you can carry. That should be enough for weapons AND armor!
>Just enough for some weapons, no need for more.
>If you take a direct route and ignore your armor, you could lift it ALL up!
